MenaITech Announces New Services During Event

Middle East and North Africa Internet Technologies (MenaITech) is participating in the annual Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) held in the UAE for the fourth consecutive year where it will host a booth in the Jordan Pavilion to promote its products and expand on the momentum that it has built throughout the Arab world.

MenaITech CEO, Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh said, “This year has been the most successful year for MenaITech to date despite the economic downturn that the world and the region have been facing. Not only have we achieved last year’s sales figures at this stage before year end, we have also consolidated our presence in key markets and acquired large-scale projects unlike any other year. Namely, we acquired our first client in Yemen, Al Rowaishan Group, which is one of the top economic groups in the country. We are also deploying are system in the Arab Palestinian Investment Company (APIC), one of the biggest companies involved in the manufacturing, distribution and services sector in Palestine. Moreover, we signed with the Oman Arab Bank, Qatar Building Company and the Saudi National Prawn Company for the use of our application.”

With regards to MenaITech’s new initiatives, Dr. Hawamdeh added, “This year we have introduced what we truly see as a groundbreaking service in our field. We are now offering outsourcing services for our HR products and have already implemented such services with names such as Citibank, Kia Motors and Warka Bank. Additionally, we are now providing a practical HR diploma in collaboration with the University of Jordan that offers hands on training of HR practices on software applications such as ours. This course is open for applicants throughout the region.”

MenaITech is participating in the event as a member of the Information Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j) where the Pavilion has received funding once again from Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) due to the latter’s added value in 2008. The MenaITech booth is additionally being supported by the USAID Business & Export Development Project for Jordanian Enterprises (Tatweer).
