Seminar at HTU on Business, Entrepreneurship, and Creating Opportunities

Founding CEO, Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh, addressed students of the Hussein Technical University (HTU) in a session entitled “A Journey through Bechnical Career and Creating Opportunities.” Attending alongside business and technology-interested students were Menaitech and HTU administration as well as faculty members.

The seminar was held as part of the collaboration partnership between Menaitech and HTU, in addition to various mutual events, trainings, and seminars held year-round. It briefed the audience on the journey that led to the foundation of Menaitech as the MENA region’s first localized HR management system.

Through a conversation-style lecture, Dr. Hawamdeh spoke about his journey of resilience and opportunity-fetching that led to entrepreneurship in HR technology and the expansion of Menaitech over more than 20 years to serve more than 2 million users with creative technological services today. He emphasized the soft skills needed for business success and discussed the different kinds of pitfalls to avoid and opportunities to look out for in order to distinguish a business from other existing enterprises.

“Don’t let immediate money-making be your main target. Find a problem and solve it creatively, then excel at executing it,” said Dr. Hawamdeh who emphasized the power of a good idea and hard work. “Simplify the process but take risks with an innovative idea and approach, and don’t just go with ready work that others have tested and tried.”

Dialogue with market leaders offers inspiring thought and advice on issues and obstacles faced by youth today as they consider their career path, present and future opportunities, and labor market needs. The seminar offered by Menaitech included a Q&A session that addressed students’ concerns and reflected their eagerness to be inspired on ways to succeed beyond their college years.

“With a long vision, rather than focusing on immediate profit, you grow and create value so that the investor seeks you, not the other way around,” advised Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh.
