MenaITech Participates in GITEX for the Fifth Consecutive Year

MenaITech Announces Reacquisition during Event

October 17, 2010, DUBAI – Middle East and North Africa Internet Technologies (MenaITech) is participating in the annual Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) held in the UAE for the fifth consecutive year where it will host a booth in the Jordan Pavilion to promote its products and expand on the momentum that it has built throughout the Arab world.

MenaITech CEO, Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh said, “This year has been the most successful year for MenaITech to date despite the outcomes of the economic downturn that the world and the region have been facing. Not only have we achieved last year’s sales figures at this stage before year end, we have also consolidated our presence in key markets and acquired large-scale projects unlike any other year. Namely, we acquired enterprise clients such as Olayan Group in Saudi Arabia, a private, multinational enterprise made up of more than 50 companies and affiliated businesses who are implementing the full HR package. We are also deploying our system in Hikma Pharmaceuticals, one of the leading multinational pharmaceutical groups in the Arab region, which is implementing the solution across the MENA. On a technical level, we have finalized our French version that will mainly cater to the North Africa region which we have placed great focus on this year due to our regional expansion plans.”

With regards to MenaITech’s new initiatives, Dr. Hawamdeh added, “MenaITech has been successfully reacquired by individual Jordanian investors last month. A future expansion plan is currently being put into place with MenaITech resources stationed in Egypt, Kuwait and the UAE, in addition to the current KSA team.”

MenaITech is participating in the event as a member of the Information Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j) where the Pavilion has received funding once again from Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) due to the latter’s added value in 2009.
